Martin Lewis explains how you can deal with a landlord wanting to put your rent up.

He said: 鈥淭here are costs in bringing in a new tenant that an ongoing tenant doesn鈥檛 have.

鈥淚f you can make yourself a relatively attractive tenant and say to them: 鈥淚 can鈥檛 afford that much but I can afford this much and that way you don鈥檛 have to do a recruitment, so you鈥檇 actually still get more money in in total.鈥濃��
