The new cultural quarter 'East Bank', in Stratford's Olympic Park now boasts the 麻豆社, Sadler鈥檚 Wells, London College of Fashion, University College London and the V&A.

The project has been eleven years in the making, and although it's not finished yet, those behind it hope it will become a new creative and cultural focal point for London.

This summer, East Bank is inviting local residents, Londoners and visitors to discover a programme of events celebrating creativity and innovation. The summer programme has music, dance, sport and art. There will be activities from hip-hop battles, watch-parties and taster sessions for Breaking, a new addition to the Olympics this year, to exhibitions, DJ sets, and a festival of engineering.

So - can it rival the already well-established South Bank?
