Fleeing Nazi Germany for a life in Sheffield
Rudi Wessely moved into No.15 Montgomery Avenue in Nether Edge in Sheffield in 1953. He stayed there for the rest of his life. Few people know that Rudi was one of the last children to escape Europe on the Kinder Transport in 1939. He never saw his parents again. Rudi鈥檚 son Simon has been talking to the 麻豆社 about his remarkable father and his link to Nicholas Winton who saved so many children.
