How to make a memorable Olympic Opening Ceremony
The Olympics are about to begin but before the athletes compete, the Games have to be officially opened. And that's something of a competition in its own right. Each host nation tries to out do the last and create lasting memories. So what is it like to think up and then bring to life an event that showcases not only the hosts but the spirit of the Games too? Daniela Thomas, the creative director of the Rio Opening Ceremony explains
