‘There’s already a big party in Dominica’
Up until these Olympic Games, the Caribbean country of Dominica with a population of about 70,000 people had never won an Olympic medal. That was until Thea LaFond-Gadson won gold in the women's triple jump. Thea says her victory could help to transform athletic facilities in the country. Weekend’s Julian Worricker has been speaking to Thea about the Olympics and how it would be celebrated in her home country.
