Upset over market set up on Armistice Day
People in Sheffield City Centre there to pay their respects in regular Armistice Day commemorations were upset the Christmas Market was setting up around them. Sheffield City Council have apologised for any upset caused. Councillor Joe Otten said, 'I would like to offer our sincere and most heartfelt apologies to all those in attendance. It is important to us that we remember those who gave their lives in service to this country, and we will ensure that in the years to come we plan for this accordingly and begin our Christmas build after Armistice Day.'
