Reimagining Angela Merkel as a crime-solving amateur detective
A German-made tv series featuring an Agatha Christie-style detective is finding its way to a US audience just now. The lead character is based on an unlikely real-life heroin. It's former German chancellor Angela Merkel who grows a little bored with retirement and decides to become an amateur sleuth.
Weekend's Julian Worricker speaks to Katharina Thalbach who plays the leading role in tv show 'Miss Merkel'.
