Meole oak 'vandalism'
Residents in Meole village in Shrewsbury say they're outraged that a mature oak has been cut down by Shropshire Council. Councillor Bernie Bentick described it as "an act of environmental vandalism" and claimed it was carried out illegally because residents were not consulted.
