How do we know if our pets are in pain?
Today's latest Christmas guest editor - Oxford University Vice-Chancellor Professor Irene Tracey has been wrestling with that question.
Professor Tracey is the proud owner of a four-year year old golden retriever called Mr Geoffrey Biscuits, who has experienced some problems with his joints. Her many years studying pain in humans made her wonder about our four-legged friends.
So she spoke to Dr Kathy Murphy - the founder of Barking brains - about Mr Geoffrey Biscuits鈥� road to recovery.
