'Be safe' urges Leicestershire fire service
Leicestershire's Fire and Rescue Service says it's safely evacuated people from caravans and boats along the River Soar near Barrow Upon Soar in Leicestershire after a severe alert was issued by the Environment Agency.
Mobile phones emitted a siren warning residents of the Proctors Pleasure Park at Barrow upon Soar of severe flooding.
It follows heavy rain which caused the authorities in Leicestershire and Rutland to declare a major incident. Over 380 calls were taken by the Fire Service with over 209 homes evacuated, and 59 people rescued.
