Loss of 'iconic landmark' in Leicester
A shoe shop in Leicester city centre has announced its closure after 40 years of business.
Blunts shoes, on Granby Street, has been a mainstay in the city for four decades and announced it will be closing for the final time at the end of March.
The store even caught the attention of musician James Blunt when he was in Leicester for the Radio 2 in the Park festival in 2023.
麻豆社 Leicester's breakfast show team spoke about the sad news, and Leicester retail expert Sarah Montano and shoe historian Rebecca Shawcross explained what the loss will mean for Leicester.
