Council plans 拢3.2m cut to city transport schemes
More than 拢3 million is set to be cut from the budget which funds new transport projects in Leicester.
Leicester City Council has proposed making the saving from funding set aside for the Connecting Leicester Scheme in 2025 - which funded the revamp of St Margaret's bus station.
Leicester's mayor Sir Peter Soulsby said the scheme hasn't been cancelled but would be "paused" as the council attempted to balance its books over the next year. City councillors are due to meet on 19 February to vote on the 2025/26 budget proposals.
People on the streets of Leicester gave us their views on the proposals, and Andy Kerridge from Leicester Spokes Cycling group spoke to 麻豆社 Leicester's Kelly Hinch.
