Digger sinks into Great Dunmow pond
A digger has become stuck in the silt-filled pond it is supposed to be repairing.
Restoration work began in October 2024 to 鈥榙esilt and repair鈥� the ancient Doctors Pond in Great Dunmow.
It is where inventor Lionel Lukin is thought to have tested his unsinkable lifeboat in the 1780s.
