As Liverpool welcomes the Chinese Lunar New Year, there are hopes that the city鈥檚 historic Chinatown could be on the brink of a revival.
Despite its cultural significance and the iconic Chinese arch drawing 400,000 visitors annually, many businesses in the area remain empty, with few people lingering to spend money.
Now, a mix of private investment and symbolic support鈥攕uch as two giant stone lions donated by the Chinese consulate鈥攁ims to breathe new life into the district. But will these efforts be enough to restore Chinatown鈥檚 vibrancy?
