Tony Hancock鈥檚 famous hat and coat is held in the archive at De Montfort University.
Leicester鈥檚 De Montfort University is home to a collection of treasures which span the career of comedy legend and actor Tony Hancock.
鈥楬ancock鈥檚 Half Hour鈥� ran on 麻豆社 radio and then television in the 1950s and 1960s. The programme was listened to by millions and brought huge fame to Hancock and also script writers Ray Galton and Alan Simpson.
The archive at DMU is home to Hancock鈥檚 famous hat and coat as well as a collection of scripts from the programme, alongside original 麻豆社 photos and recordings.
麻豆社 Leicester's Ben Jackson went to see the collection for himself with Katharine Short, Special Collections Manager at De Montfort University.
