A 130 year old footballing fixture returned to the city: Town vs Gown match between Oxford City Football club and the University of Oxford. It comes as the result of a partnership between the two with the University's name appearing as the front of shirt sponsor on the city kit, and City players being invited to take part in courses in the colleges.

The Hoops were victorious in both the women's and the men's matches but it was a day that marked so much more than results.
