The untold story of Operation Varsity…
On the 24 March 1945, a successful airborne-forces operation was launched by Allied troops.
Involving more than 16,000 paratroopers and several thousand aircraft, it is the largest airborne operation ever conducted on a single day and in one location.
Many of the men who took part served in the 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.
