Lower Thames Crossing plans approved
Plans for a new Lower Thames Crossing have been approved by the government. The largest road tunnel in the UK will cost 拢8.3 billion and has been 15 years in the making.
The 14.5-mile (23km) road would link Tilbury in Essex with Gravesend in Kent by two tunnels running underneath the River Thames.
