Yesterday's Spring Statement saw Rachel Reeves promise to cut the country's welfare bill by 拢3bn and pledged 拢2.2bn for defence spending.

Speaking to Today's Nick Robinson, the Chancellor defended her decisions, saying that she won't "play fast and loose with public finances".
