Oxford doctor helps make medical history
A baby girl has made history as the first child in the UK to be born from a womb transplant.
Baby Amy Isabel was named after her Aunt, who donated her womb to the baby鈥檚 mother, Grace. Isabel is after the Oxford surgeon, Isabel Quiroga, who led the transplant team at the Churchill Hospital.
Isabel Quiroga was present at the birth, along with Prof Richard Smith who led the organ retrieval team. 麻豆社 Radio Oxford鈥檚 Sophie Law spoke to both of them.
