Sheffield Taxi drivers are frustrated by plans to make signs on their vehicles permanent.

Sheffield City Council say they've consulted on a proposal for front door signage to be made permanent.

They say this is in line with Department for Transport best practice, which states that 鈥淟icensing authorities鈥� private hire vehicle signage requirements should be limited to the authority licence plate or disc and a 鈥減re-booked only鈥� door sign.鈥�
