Older people get seated in Bournemouth
Bournemouth traders are being encouraged to join the take a seat initiative run by the Town Centre Business Development District (BID).
In a bid to make older people feel more comfortable when they visit, comfortable chesterfield chairs are being placed in stores to allow people to sit down when in premises.
Customer training is also available as well as grants of up to 拢500 funded by the 'Centre For Ageing Better' to enable businesses to carry out small-scale improvements to benefit older people.
Radio Solent's Steve Harris spoke to Paul Kinvig from the Bournemouth BID.
