Worcestershire's life-saving freewheelers
They're the unsung heroes of healthcare: Meet the 'blood bikers', saving lives every day, dashing up and down motorways in the middle of the night delivering vital aid to hospitals.
They are known as the 'Severn Freewheelers', a free out-of-hours charity that delivers essential medical items to hospitals in Herefordshire, Worcestershire, and other locations across central England.
The group has issued an emotional appeal for more volunteers, after revealing how they've almost had to suspend the service due to a lack of call handlers, who are willing and able to answer the phone, when it rings.
Tom Edwards reports.
