Dorset Council is asking for more people to consider becoming foster carers, specifically, parent-and-child foster carers.

In such situations a carer will support a mother or father together with their young child.

Fru Bird is Dorset's only active parent-and-child foster carer, and over 11 years she has supported 14 different people.

Reporter Harry Kille-Smith spoke to Fru at her home in Ferndown, alongside one young woman she has supported called Lydia.
