Blandford museum installs tech for visually impaired
Blandford Town Museum are going the extra mile for their visitors with visual impairments, after installing an app system which takes visitors around the museum and reads the exhibits to them.
The museum is entirely run by volunteers, and the QR-code based technology has been installed in part thanks to national lottery funding, but also the expertise of the locals who volunteer at the north-dorset establishment.
Reporter Harry Kille-Smith went to investigate and was shown the ropes by museum director, Sylvia Hixson-Andrews.
