'Unethical' or 'dignified'? What GPs think of assisted dying

More than 1,000 GPs in England have shared their views on the assisted dying bill with 麻豆社 News.

This week, MPs are again debating assisted dying in parliament. If they vote in favour, certain terminally ill adults in England and Wales could eventually have the option of asking doctors to prescribe a substance that would end their lives.

麻豆社 News wanted to find out what doctors - and specifically GPs - thought about this potentially huge change for society. We sent questionnaires on assisted dying to more than 5000 GPs in England. 1,000 responded. The 麻豆社's health correspondent, Catherine Burns, has been finding out more.
