Bhanu Jadeja Mahal has been a figure of support in local communities for decades.

After receiving support from Leicestershire Police during a difficult time in her life, Bhanu was inspired to give back, and hasn鈥檛 stopped since.

She was one of Leicester's first Asian traffic wardens and continued work alongside local police forces as an interpreter in various roles. In April 2025, she celebrated an incredible 50 years of service.

Bhanu spoke to 麻豆社 Leicester's Ben Jackson.
