Shropshire's most unlikely friendship?
What do "The Shropshire Lad" and Gladiator champion Amanda Wah have in common? Amanda triumphed in the final of Gladiators in front of millions of TV viewers in April and is teaming up with chef Adam Purnell, known as the Shropshire Lad at this weekend's County Show at the West Mid Showground. But what brings this unlikely pair together, and did they really bond over cooking a whole cow?
