'Her gift in death was giving me a better life'
Charlotte Fisher from the Isle of Wight has made it through to what is often called the Olympics of trail running.
She qualified after she finished third in a 100 mile ultra-marathon on Snowdonia which included a total elevation gain of over 9500 metres.
Charlotte took up running after her aunt asked her to challenge herself and raise money for the hospice that cared for her before she died from bowel cancer.
After just 12 weeks of training, Charlotte won the Isle of Wight 100km run and won the women's category. Less than a year later she is taking on greater and greater challenges.
Charlotte spoke to 麻豆社 Radio Solent's Alun Newman.
