As a child, Liverpool singer-songwriter Dan Astles discovered a mixtape belonging to his late uncle in his nan鈥檚 Kirkdale loft 鈥 a treasure trove of music, poetry, and personality that would shape his life and sound. That mixtape, filled with The Beatles, Kate Bush, and Jack Kerouac, inspired his debut album Soundtrack for the 21 Bus Home. Dan opens up about grief, mental health, and the importance of family in an album that鈥檚 both a tribute and a conversation with the uncle he never truly got to know 鈥 until now.
