From Mauritius to the professional peloton: Kim (Le Court) Pienaar鈥檚 crazy ride
Mauritius isn鈥檛 known for producing world class cyclists, but Kim (Le Court) Pienaar is certainly going a long way to change that view.
The three-time Mauritius national road race champion won the prestigious Li猫ge-Bastogne-Li猫ge in April 2025, just 18 months after her husband Ian contacted World Tour teams in the hope they would give her a chance on the world鈥檚 elite stage.
She tells Not by the Playbook鈥檚 Mani Djazmi about how it turned out to be a dream week when she was offered a contract and how racing at the Tour of Britain for the first time in 10 years will be a sign of how far she鈥檚 come as a cyclist.
