Why is getting to Liverpool Airport so hard?
Getting to Liverpool John Lennon Airport has long been a transport headache 鈥 with no direct rail link and the nearest station still a bus or taxi ride away. But now, Chancellor Rachel Reeves has announced 拢100 million for three new 鈥渞apid transit鈥 bus routes that will connect the airport to the city centre and stadiums. It鈥檚 part of a wider 拢1.6 billion investment in Merseyside transport. Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram says these new 鈥榞lider鈥 buses could finally change the game for airport access.
