Ukrainian prisoner of war: my story
Russia and Ukraine are believed to be preparing for another exchange of prisoners of war. A large scale swap of 1000 soldiers from Ukraine and Russia took place two weeks ago and there was a smaller exchange at the beginning of May. One Ukrainian POW who was swapped then was Sasha, which is not his real name. He was held by the Russians in occupied Ukrainian territory for three years after being captured towards the start of the conflict. He's been telling Julian Worricker about his time in Russian detention.
