Meet the lightsabre community of Marks Tey
A lightsabre community based in Marks Tey is gaining popularity.
LudoSport Essex was set up at Marks Tey Parish Hall near Colchester in October 2024 to teach people how to use the fictional weapon made famous in the Star Wars franchise.
The club says nearly 40 people have tried their sessions so far.
LudoSport was founded in Italy 21 years ago.
Pippa Green, founder of the Essex group, said: "I've wanted to be a Jedi since I was 11 years old and this is as close to that reality as you can get."
Other members harbour ambitions of competing in LudoSport, with the worldwide tournament Champions Arena coming to the UK at the end of November 2025.
