Discovering £63,000 coin hoard near Aylesbury
Steve Hickman had only been metal detecting for a few weeks when he struck silver. The 16th Century and 17th Century coins were found buried in a broken pot in farmland in 2023. They raised £63,000 at auction in 2025. Photo: Essex Coin Auctions.
