A group of 14-year-old friends from Nottingham High School have learned how to sew surgical drain bags which they've donated to two wards at Nottingham University Hospitals City Campus.

Chloe, Ashana, Abbie, and Charlotte have been working hard over the past three months to produce the textile bags for patients to use. It all started after Chloe's mum received a drain bag following surgery, which inspired the girls to start crafting. They were supported by their school, and as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award, made over 30 surgical drain bags.
