Alfreton Road is closed this morning following the arrest of seven people related to an incident last night.

Police arrived at Alfreton Road just before midnight on 2nd July, after reports of an altercation. One man has been taken to hospital for serious injuries.

Alfreton Road was closed in both directions at the junction of Raleigh Street to allow police to investigate the incident, and is likely to remain shut for quite some time.

Police have urged anyone with information, including witnesses or drivers with dash cam footage, to contact 101, quoting incident 914.
