Hull stars rocked Live Aid 40 years ago
Forty years ago more than a billion people around the world tuned in for Live Aid. Organised by Bob Geldof, to raise money to fight famine in Africa. It was the biggest live music event there had ever been. It opened with Status Quo performing "Rockin' All Over The World" and featured stars including Queen, David Bowie, Tina Turner, Madonna, Paul McCartney and U2 and three musicians from Hull.
