Care home residents speak out about loss of services
Seagrave Court, a care home in Nottingham, is set to stop providing "extra care".
Some residents of the home spoke to Dino about their concerns.
A Nottingham City Council spokesperson said Housing 21 is in discussions with a new provider about taking over care services at Seagrave Court following a decision to end its contract with the City Council. They said, "We understand that this will be unsettling for residents and staff but all steps will be taken to ensure that people continue to receive the care they need and that any transition is as seamless as possible. A comprehensive strategic review of Extra Care accommodation is being carried out to assess how it operates across the city, explore opportunities to modernise the service and consider alternative models of care. It鈥檚 important to ensure that future provision is sustainable, provides value for money and aligns with our commitment to delivering high-quality care that promotes independence, dignity and choice for all."
