Anthony Kavana, also known as Kavana, was brought up on a council estate in Manchester.

As a teenager he won Smash Hits awards and a legion of screaming fans.

But by the age of 21, things had begun to take a very dark turn and he ended up struggling for years with addiction.

And now his life is back on track and he's just written a brutally honest memoir, as Michelle Adamson reports.
