The Staffordshire villagers demanding change
Residents in Meir Heath have been campaigning for months to get improvements on the Hilderstone Road. They want a 40mph buffer zone to be put in place to break up the sudden drop in speed from 60mph to 30mph which they say some motorists are tending to ignore.
Resident, Penny Meakin is fearful of a fatally if nothing changes.
Staffordshire County Council say聽road safety is their top priority, and they do listen to residents when they have concerns about speeding in their area. They've been asked to look at a feasibility study around the possibility of reviewing the speed limits.
