The new lanterns of Stourport Bridge
The Grade II listed landmark is getting a glow-up, with 18 beautifully crafted heritage lanterns being installed to replace the original fittings, removed in 2024 due to 'significant deterioration'.
The new lanterns have been produced by the original manufacturer, William Sugg & Co Lighting, matching as close to possible to design of the originals.
Councillor Karl Perks from Worcestershire County Council and Simon Harris, Street Lighting Operations Manager, tell Tammy Gooding how they are modernising the old feel of the lanterns, freshening them for another 30 years.
