A cheeky red intruder has found itself in a spot of bother in Hadleigh after getting its leg stuck in a letter box.

The unbelievable tale sounds like a Beatrix Potter adventure, but it really did happen.

Luckily, the fox was rescued by paperboy Liam Clement, and is receiving care for its injuries at the South Essex Wildlife Hospital, who say it had "no idea" how the animal became trapped.
