Pharmacists sound alarm over the future of NHS pharmacies
The National Pharmacy Association and Community Pharmacy England have released new figures highlighting the challenges faced by pharmacists up and down the country, as some pharmacists take out loans just to keep their businesses open.
Harvinder Singh is from Glasshouse Chemist in Nottingham. He says the future for NHS pharmacies doesn't seem bright.
A Department of Health and Social Care spokesperson said: "Community pharmacists are at the heart of local healthcare and we鈥檙e working to turn around a decade of underfunding and neglect that has left the sector on the brink of collapse.鈥
