The Redditch damp problem 'unsolved since 2018'
78-year-old David Wallis says his house had mould eight inches high, which he has been battling to get sorted since 2018.
He and his wife moved in to a Taylor Wimpey new-build in Redditch almost seven years ago, with his wife, thinking it would be the perfect place to retire.
Instead, the house had been plagued with problems, most seriously damp and mould, which they say is now affecting their health.
The couple claim Taylor Wimpey promised to fix the issue back in February 2025, but nothing has happened at time of publishing.
Tom Edwards reports.
The family say Taylor Wimpey did promise to make improvements, after three different surveys were done on the house.
In a statement, Taylor Wimpey told the 麻豆社 that they are "very sorry" about the couple's situation, and are "committed to resolving the dispute". The company adds "as this is now a legal matter, we cannot comment further".
