Preparing for flooding
A couple from Montford Bridge say they've spent nearly 拢10k making their cottage flood resilient. Sarah Jackaman and Paul Fairhurst have lived close to the River Severn for almost 20 years, adapting their home and having a fire drill-style flood plan ready at all times. Sarah says, "Getting ready for the flooding is actually the slightly more stressful part, when the flood water actually starts to come in there's nothing more you can do about it."
