Nine out of 10 young adults living with parents in the UK say they can鈥檛 move out of the family home because of the cost. Research seen by the 麻豆社 suggests it's not just about the cost of buying or renting somewhere to live but the everyday bills, like utilities and council tax and insurance. In 2011, there were 4.2m adults living with parents while not in education or caring for a relative. By 2021 that figure had risen to 4.9m, according to the Office for National Statistics.
