Worcestershire sauce makers say the sauce should go on bread and underneath cheese, as opposed to on top of the cheese.

Lea & Perrins has made this point by donating a preserved slice of cheese on toast, made in what they say is the correct way, to Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum in the 'Your Worcester' exhibition.
