'GPs are very nervous' - new GP appointment system comes into force
If you've tried to book a GP appointment, you'll be familiar with the '8am scramble', and new plans from the government are seeking to put an end to it.
GPs must now offer online appointment booking between 8am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday.
The British Medical Association has raised concerns, saying that it could lead to a "potential online triage tsunami", which, it says, could lead to some patients' problems being overlooked.
Dr Hussain Ghandi, a GP at Wellspring Surgery in St Ann's spoke to Summaya about his concerns with the system.
