Corporation Bridge in Grimsby has been shut since February 2023. It was supposed to take a year to repair, but over 2 and a half years later, there is still no end in sight. North East Lincolnshire Council say they are committed to restoring the 100-year-old Corporation Road Bridge and have recently appointed experienced bridge-restoration company, Taziker who are expect be in place by the end of October. Fin O'Flaherty, a Professor of Infrastructure Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University explains why it is taking so long.
